The new through-design allowed for the formation of a large overmantel housing the range and extractor fan.
The resulting extra depth, coupled with the flexibility a central island gives, allowed the flanking cabinets to be used not only for the fridge and freezer, but also the plate racks.
Differing colours and textures completed the room with worn gloss cream to the cabinets, crisp satin white on the overmantel, and a flat aged blue feel to the island with old timber above. Black granite was used for the work surface.
